Holly Fulton SS RTW 2013

I still haven't fully caught up on all the shows (or at least my favorites) from Fashion Week, and I've only caught glimpses of London and Paris shows, but so far I have to say my favorite collection of the season is Holly Fulton's! Pastel colors and fresh prints are always a favorite of mine so this collection was practically made for me. The blue plastic jacket with rosette beading is probably my favorite piece (it's so hard to pick!). It is everything my nine-year-old self dreamed of wearing. Clearly my taste hasn't changed much because I'd wear it in a heart beat if I had the chance today. The beading work is impeccable; I actually thought it was hand-painted from far away!

I'm also obsessed with the naked-lady print. It's reminiscent of Miu Miu SS RTW 2012 (one of my all-time favorite collections), but I think I actually prefer this print. I love the chevron illusion it creates from far away, but then you get a closer look and see the print is made of tiny nude pin up girls! I've been thinking about it at least three times a day ever since I viewed the collection.

Although the clothes are amazing, my favorite thing about the collection is that Fulton was inspired by sixties skateboarder/all-around badass Patti McGee! McGee was the first female to skateboard professionally. I am all about strong female icons as fashion inspiration and Fulton executes it perfectly.

If it were possible to marry a print this would be the one.

Loved the bright two-toned lipstick and braided crown!
Look how adorable the manis were!

Edit: I've been staring at the plastic rosette jacket and dress for at least ten minutes ad I'm not sure if the roses are beading as I mentioned. I'm actually not sure what it is at all haha. Doesn't matter, whatever it is it's perfect.

Best Witch

I took these when I got back from Target, so they came out kind of dark. I really liked this outfit, primarily because it feels like I'm wearing pajamas and secondly because it's cute. Nothing too special, so it'll probably be my go-to outfit this fall when I'm running late (so always) or just too lazy (also always).

I love how versatile the idea behind the outfit is. I got the idea from the girl in this photo. I have the same dress, and when I saw how cute hers looked over a button down blouse it's like I had a huge epiphany. I have no idea why I never tried layering my dresses before, but now I feel like the possibilities are endless! Which means I'll be wearing various versions of this look all fall.

Also, special thanks to my mom for buying me the coolest and most accurate ribbon. Kind of ruined the photo so I'll take a better one next time (it says "Best Witch" if you can't see it clearly).

My yard is a mess. I have no idea whose mattress that is.

Audrey Horne Vibes

Finally got around to setting up this blog after putting it off for so long. I never have time to take pictures because I'm always running late for something, never bring my camera with me and by the time I get back home all I want to do is take off my clothes and slip into something more comfortable aka a ratty t-shirt not sexy lingerie . Enough of the excuses though!
Heere's an outfit I put together a few days ago. So excited that it's finally chilly enough to wear sweaters again! Loved the Audrey Horne vibes I was getting from my sweater+skirt+saddle shoes combo.

Sweater- thrifted
